Roborigger and Greenfield Products have announced a partnership for exclusive distribution of Roborigger load orientation devices in North America. Roborigger products will be distributed by Greenfield Products and supported throughout North America by Greenfield and other sister companies in the Lanco Group of Companies. The first Roborigger to reach the USA was showcased at ConExpo 2023 in Las Vegas (14-18 March). Conexpo had 1800 exhibitors and over 130,000 attendees.
Greenfield Products was introduced to Roborigger at the BAUMA construction exhibition in Munich in October 2022. The live demonstrations of Roborigger at Bauma were enough to show the immense potential of Roborigger for the US market. Roborigger was also the immediate solution to controlling the orientation of their Skycrane cantilever beam product – https://www.greenfieldpi.com/products/skycrane-cantilever-lifting-beam-system/.
When talking about the partnership, Derick Markwell, founder of Roborigger said – “We couldn’t ask for a better partner! Greenfield Products are a perfect fit to represent Roborigger in North America as they have a strong engineering-based portfolio of lifting products as well as having sister companies in the Lanco Group that provide virtually complete coverage of the region. The fact that they had customers already looking for a product like Roborigger and fully understood the need and benefits meant that there is an instant synergy. In fact, I have found out they were already thinking about developing a product with similar functionality themselves”.
Josh Meyers, Sales Manager for Greenfield Products, added to the discussion saying – “The Lanco Group is at the forefront of technology and performance. We are always looking for innovative solutions to challenge problems, and teaming up with the right partners ensures that. Our collaboration with partners allows us to create effective solutions for our customers. Roborigger is a great fit for our product solution and an enhancement to our product range”.
Since then, Derick Markwell and Josh Meyers (pictured below at ConExpo2023) have been discussing Roborigger’s expansion to North America and the partnership with Greenfield Products. The first container load of Roboriggers has recently arrived in the USA and will go to work immediately.
Greenfield Products is part of the Lanco Group of Companies which is based in Chicago and has a portfolio of companies in the lifting automation industry with branches throughout North America. The Lanco Group comprises companies including Western Pacific Crane & Equipment (largest Manitowoc and Grove crane dealer in North America); Walter Payton Power Equipment (largest crane and heavy equipment distributor in the Midwest, covering all leading brands); Broderson Manufacturing (industry leader in industrial carry deck and rough terrain cranes manufacturing); Mi-Jack Products (industry leader in rubber tired gantry crane manufacturing); Lift King (a Canadian manufacturer of all terrain forklifts); and many more.
Roborigger is a Perth-Australia based company, developing automated lifting devices for cranes worldwide. The Roborigger device allows for load control by remote control without the risk of personnel being in the vicinity of the load or crane. Loads can be remotely rotated and positioned regardless of the wind, meaning no taglines are required. Loads can be lifted safer, quicker and with less personnel. The integrated IoT software solution collects lift data in real-time and pushes it instantly to a cloud-based customer platform. All lifts are recorded with date, time, location, weight, and a high-res image, providing users with the ability to track loads lifted and analyse performance and productivity.
